Employees donated children's toys as part of FrontStreet's 2013 Holiday Extravaganza and then delivered them to HELP Suffolk, Long Island's largest housing facility for the homeless. HELP Suffolk is currently home to more than 76 families, providing a work share program and assisting residents with relocating to permanent housing.
FrontStreet participated in the recent "St. Jude Give thanks. Walk." event at Bethpage Ballpark in Long Island, proudly joining walkers in 75 cities across the nation, and exceeding its donation goal through the incredible generosity of team members, vendors and clients.
Understanding that life often delivers unexpected bumps in the road, FrontStreet established an annual Buttoned Up Drive. The month-long effort encouraged employees to donate gently used men and women's business attire, which FrontStreet then delivered to local charities focused on assisting unemployed individuals back to the workforce.
Midway Safe Harbor 21st Century Community Learning Center provides after-school, foster/grandparent, health and nutrition programming just east of Sanford, Florida. FrontStreet assisted in giving back to this incredible community resource that was serving hundreds of meals out of nothing more than a dilapidated home-style kitchen.
When Hurricane Sandy hit Rockaway Beach in 2012, the community was left dismantled and devastated. FrontStreet partnered with NYC firefighters and Surfside Bagels owners Scott Edwards and Tim Keenan to restore a sense of normalcy in the community through its donation of time, materials and resources that enabled this small business to reopen within months of the storm.
FrontStreet was founded on an excitement for business, entrepreneurialism and giving back. From these passions emerged the Long Island Young Entrepreneur Challenge (LI YEC). Going statewide for the first time in 2014, the New York Young Entrepreneur Challenge (NY YEC) rewards ingenuity, creativity and focus with opportunities for mentorship and startup funding.
FrontStreet and its employees believe wholeheartedly in giving back. We are committed to providing both best-in-class service and being socially responsible; knowing that without a strong company there is not a strong community and without a strong community there is not a strong company. Working side-by-side with those organizations most in need, our employees give generously to nonprofit organizations including Island Harvest and Toys for Tots. Inspired by the ability to help public school teachers nationwide, we also support DonorsChoose.org by providing gift cards to employees and clients. These gift cards empower the recipient to fund classroom projects, supporting educational opportunities for those students most in need.
